Explore the history and heritage of Gwynedd and view works by local and international artists at Storiel, Gwynedd’s Museum and Art Gallery. We’re family friendly, free and one of the top ten things to do in the picturesque University City of Bangor, on the banks of the Menai Strait.

The collections at Storiel include nearly 10,000 items of historic Welsh furniture, textiles, archaeology, ceramics, art & photography.

After you’ve visited the museum & gallery, linger in our unique gift shop, full of local artisan crafts, cards and gifts. Or, if you’re feeling thirsty or peckish, relax in our coffee shop and have yourself a panad. (That’s Welsh for cup of tea.)

Storiel is the perfect all weather, all season attraction for anyone enjoying a Snowdonia 360 itinerary. Free entry and open Tuesday to Saturday 11 until 5, excluding bank holidays. We’re highly accessible as we’re close to the city centre in Bangor, 5 minutes from the train station, adjacent to the bus station and have multiple public car parks nearby.
