Sygun Copper Mine

Sygun Copper Mine is an all-weather attraction, located near Beddgelert in the North West corner of the Snowdonia National Park. We offer a host of tours, exhibitions and activities that will keep visitors young and old engaged and entertained on an informative and fun day out.

The drive to the mine alone will take your breath away, you’ll find us nestled under the mountains and amongst the lakes and forests of Snowdonia. When you arrive prepare to experience the wonders of our historic Victorian copper mine.

Enjoy a self-guided audio-visual tour that takes you on a path through the heart of the mountain. You’ll ascend through large colourful chambers and see magnificent Stalactite & Stalagmite formations. Explore the old workings of the mine, and experience how the miners and their families worked and lived. Then exit the mine near the top of the mountain and marvel at the most incredible views of the surrounding valleys & mountains.

On the gentle walk down, you can partake in some Gold Panning before enjoying the views and tranquillity on offer with a fresh coffee & cake at our onsite cafe. Finally browse the gift shop, selling unique local products, while the kids play in the Adventure Playground.
