All Aboard!…the Talyllyn heritage steam railway. A great day out and a popular Snowdonia attraction for all the family. We are the world’s first preserved steam railway, connecting the popular seaside resort of Tywyn, on the Cambrian Coast, with the foothills of the Snowdonia National Park.
Beautiful scenery, comfortable carriages and historic steam engines await you on our wonderful line. We’re accessible from the main Cambrian Line services from the Midlands & London but we’ll transport you through ancient woodlands, mountains, waterfalls and over a viaduct, on an amazing rail journey back in time.
Relax and enjoy the stunning scenery of Southern Snowdonia, with refreshments available from our restaurant at Tywyn Wharf station and café at Abergynolwyn station. Tywyn Wharf also features a fully licensed bar serving locally brewed, award-winning beers.
We run numerous events throughout the season which are suitable for visitors young and old, please keep an eye on our website for the latest details. As well as being well connected we’re also ideally placed near the southern gateway to the National Park, an ideal starting point for your Snowdonia 360 itinerary.
